Job Description:

1. Able to use Hydro Test Pump, Pneumatic Pump, Gas Booster Pump with due safety.

2. Expert in Hydro testing of Valves like Shell Test, Seat Test and record the results on Chart Recorder.

3. Able to do Pop-Off Test & Calibration of Relief Valves.

4. Able to do assembly, dismantling and troubleshooting of various types of valves like Ball

    Valve, Plug Valve, Check Valve, Butterfly Valve, Actuator, Manual Gate Valve, HCR Valve etc.

5. Well conversant with various repairing techniques like Lapping, Polishing, Alignment, Seat Matching etc.

6. Should be able to identify defective components like hard components as well as soft seals from the leaking valve.

7. Well aware of High Pressure working safety & precautions.

8. Able to read drawings and data sheets for various valves as well as well head equipment.

9. Should be able to understand the difference between Working Pressure & Test Pressure.

Job Description:

A Middle Eastern Operator is looking to identify an Operations Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi. The position will be both field and terminal based and will be required to supervise, monitor and control the safe and efficient operations for the receipt, storage and measurement of crude oil.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to 


*Participating in the analysis, design and planning for plant modifications or new facilities/ equipment.
*Drafting/reviewing and implementing approved policies and procedures covering plant operations and reporting requirements.
*Participating in the preparation of the department budget
*Participating in the training and development of assigned UAE national employees.
Field activities
*Supervise, monitor and implement production/ injection requirements and develops daily work program
*Coordinate maintenance and shutdown requirements to ensure operation of assigned facilities is running smoothly and in synch with export requirements.
*Supervise the collection of reliability data for various plant and participates in plant and equipment evaluation.
Terminal activities
*Control the receipt of crude oil into the tank
*Supervise and ensure proper implementation of crude oil loading program
*Ensure that documentation procedures are being correctly followed and cargoes properly calculated and documented
*Liaise with external auditors and provide required documents/information
Key requirements
*Engineering Degree (mechanical or chemical preferred)
*7 years in oil operations
*Previous experience in the Middle East preferred.

• Determine areas of corrosion threat and set up of corrosion control measures accordingly.
• Develop Corrosion Failure Analysis reports for failed equipment.
• Prepare CFT for corrosion inhibitor and biocide and follow up the processing till final selection of products and implementation on site.
• Responsible for ordering and stock management of corrosion monitoring equipment.
• Supervise and assist a local team in corrosion monitoring activities.
• Perform cost analysis and propose solutions to reduce costs.
• Issue weekly and monthly reports with corrosion annual report.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor of Engineering or Science (preferably chemistry) with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in corrosion control and monitoring activities in Oil & Gas fields.
Master degree in Corrosion Control would be a plus.
NACE certified Corrosion Technologist.
Sound knowledge of International Codes and Standards relevant to corrosion and chemical treatment, mainly NACE, API & ASME.
Good level of written and spoken English.

Job Description

• Receives all shift forms and related documents for product issues and receipt from Control Room Operator.
• Maintains Pre and post-shift checks (inspection) through checklist in terminal area including LPG storage tanks pump house, LPG pipeline receiving and loading/unloading areas.
• Ensures correct valve line up, pumps and tanks selection for filling plant and bulk loading/unloading as per the advice from the LPG Control Room
• Check level gauge and pressure gauge of the LPG tanker prior to loading and ascertain the available tanker capacity would be adequate to accommodate the ordered quantity.
• Ensures that LPG tanker are positioned correctly on the weigh-bridge platform. Maintain vehicle wise data of standard weights of empty and filled tankers and their safe filling capacities.
• Receives LPG tankers loading advise from Bulk Foreman and Load LPG tankers for customers as per SOP, WI and HSEMS and with coordination control room operator.
• Troubleshoots operational problems, which include the pipe line up, vapour lock in pumps, locking of excess flow check valves of storage tanks and road tankers etc.
• Operates MOVs from field for various operations on advice of control room operator.
• Ensures starting and stopping of air compressors and instruments air dryers as per the advice from Control Room.
• Performs vapor recovery from LPG bulk tankers as per the advice from Control Room.
• Performs routine checks for leakage and any unsafe conditions in LPG storage and entire piping network and inform Control Room Operator, HSE staff and Filling plant staff.
• Coordinate with CR and makes sure all system reset buttons at filling plants, all SDVs and hydraulic pumps have been set for normal operation.
• Ensure that ESD system is operational and the valves are reset especially after any electrical power breakdown / ESD activation in coordination with Control Room Operator
• Checks constantly the level and pressure of LPG road tankers during loading and unloading LPG tankers. Any abnormal conditions are to be reported to control room and corrective action is to be taken.
• Confirms with control room operator to Isolates and de-isolates equipment and machines prior and after any maintenance work as authorize by Supervisor.
• Records filling plant flow meter readings before and after filling plant operation and handover to Control Room Operators.
• Performs necessary calculations for loaded quantity in tankers, takes acknowledgment from customers and submit shift summary and related documents to Control Room.
• Ensures all customers and company drivers strictly adhere to the HSEMS.
• Ensure proper shift handover and takeover of the shift and inform supervisor / CR in-charge of any irregularities noticed
• Informs and co-ordinates with Control Room, HSE and Filling Plant staff during any emergency.
• Perform other similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor.
