Lead Commissioning Operator - Major Operator - Contract - Northern Alberta - 7/7 - FIFO - Competitive Pay Rate
Our client is a major operator and owner of SAGD projects based across Northern Alberta, and are currently recruiting for a Lead Commissioning Operator to join their successful organization on a contract basis. This role will be working on a multimillion dollar project and will be site based with flights and accommodations provided.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in construction walk downs, punch list and field validations as part of the plant turnover process
  • Assist with permit filed issuing support as well as supporting the companies system commissioning as assigned
  • Perform safe and effective operation of the companies SAGD facility
  • Assist in daily safe work permit issuing programs
  • Assist in system commissioning as aligned to your operating areas
  • To follow all commissioning and safe operating procedures
  • Perform condition monitoring including sampling and testing (safe work environments)
  • Successfully prepare equipment and work authorization to perform work tasks
  • Execute effective team and shift communications
Experience & Qualifications:
  • 2nd Class Steam Ticket
  • Minimum 5-10 years relevant commissioning experience
  • Hydrocarbon facility experience
  • Leadership/Supervisory experience
  • Able to assume duties and provide direction
  • WHIMIS
  • H2S Alive
  • Confined Space Pre-Entry
  • Confined Space
  • Fall Arrest
  • Aerial Platform
  • Respirator Fit Testing
  • First Aid/CPR
  • PPE must be supplied by Contractor
