DESCRIPTION

Opportunity to join a leading Manufacturing Company for a well-versed Quality Engineer with knowledge of Rotating Equipment. The Quality Engineer will be integral in the development, operation and maintenance of QA/QC functions within the organization.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Develop, initiate, and maintain standards and procedures for the performance of Quality Assurance, Inspection, and Test functions in a manufacturing environment.
* Establishing controls and inspection points to facilitate detection, correction, and prevention of nonconforming materials, parts, assemblies, and products.
* Coordinate the nonconforming material system and review/approve inspection fixtures; used as Media of Inspection.
* Assist the Quality Director in the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Assurance Program including the formulation, implementation, and maintenance of quality objectives
* Perform statistical studies, including generation of sampling plans, for the purpose of recording, evaluating, or reporting quality and reliability information.
* Assist in the implementation and maintenance of advanced quality concepts such as Total Quality Management, Continuous Quality Improvement, Statistical Process Control, and Quality Function Deployment.
* Perform internal quality surveys and audits for assuring that the requirements of the Quality System are being attained.
* Perform Supplier Qualification audits
* Prepare and distribute Quality Plans based upon the requirements of the specifications and customer orders.
* Investigate and obtain resolution to warranty claims and customer complaints, as assigned.
* Recommends product revisions, process changes, and testing procedures to assure that quality standards are being attained.
* Assure that quality standards comply with division and departmental policies, national and international codes, and applicable safety requirements.
* Provide technical expertise in areas such as welding, metallurgy, nondestructive testing, and inspection methods.

The ideal candidate will have:

* A minimum of 10 years' experience in quality engineering within manufacturing is required.
* Experience of Rotating Equipment Required
* Experience preparing and executing quality systems
* Experience with quality processes, procedures, materials, and supplies used in the business is preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation and organizational skills.
* Will travel domestically and internationally as needed to meet customer requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related discipline
